An Honest Opinion of SuperGoop!
SuperGoop! was started by CEO, and sunscreen queen, Holly Thaggard, in 2007. Her goal was and still is to change the way that people think about sunscreen. She believes that people should wear sunscreen every. single. day. All of Supergoop’s products are cruelty-free, made with clean ingredients, and are reef-safe. If you didn’t know that certain types of sunscreen are harmful to the ocean, read this article. I started using SuperGoop about a year ago, and it has really changed my mind about sunscreen. I fully support this brand! Everything that I have tried so far has been incredible. SuperGoop is perfect for people that have sensitive skin! I know this because my skin breaks out so easily. But I haven’t had any problems with SuperGoop products. I’m so excited to share this brand with you all!
Unseen Sunscreen
I was recommended the Unseen Sunscreen from an employee at Sephora. Before this encounter, I literally never wore sunscreen. But I figured it was time that I get into a skincare routine. She informed me that this sunscreen can also be used as a primer, which really sold me. I started wearing this product every day. Unseen Sunscreen is an SPF 40, and it feels weightless. It’s actually an oil-free sunscreen, so it works great with sensitive skin. Unseen isn’t greasy, it can actually be slightly matting. When it comes out of the bottle, it is see-through, not white. So It works well for all skin tones! If you want to branch out and try one of SuperGoop’s products, I recommend this one the most. It works great as a primer, and it always leaves my skin feeling soft.
Glow Screen
I will admit, at first I was kinda skeptical about this product. I think I was mainly skeptical because I loved Unseen so much. I didn’t really think anything could top it. But then I tried Glow Screen…and everything changed. Glow Screen is an SPF primer that will give you a glowing look. Although, I will say that if you don’t like the dewy look, Unseen would probably be better for you! I’ve had Glowscreen for a few months now, and I already love it. This sunscreen will probably be the reason I stop buying foundation. It’s. THAT. Good. I didn’t realize before I bought it that it is slightly tinted sunscreen. It leaves you glowing, but it also provides a small coverage similar to a foundation. It’s not going to give you full coverage like foundation, but it’s not heavy, like foundation can be. It’s perfect for those days that you are running late and don’t have time to do full make-up (which for me is most days). Since it’s a sunscreen, it’s excellent for lake days or going to the beach when you can’t really wear a full face of make-up, but you still want something to make you feel put together. Overall, this product is game-changing. Glowscreen also has great ingredients that can help the quality of your skin. The ingredients include hyaluronic acid, B5, and niacinamide. Shimmershade
Shimmershade is a glittery eyeshadow that also has SPF 30! If you’re wondering, “why do I need eyeshadow with SPF in it?” I have one answer for you….wrinkles. Okay, okay, and 10% of skin cancer comes from delicate skin. I’m no make-up expert, and honestly, I’m pretty bad at eye make-up. But this is why I love shimmershade so much! I just dab some shimmershade onto my finger, swipe it across my eyelid, and I’m done. It’s so easy, it looks great, and it will protect your eyes. What more can we ask for? I have the shade Golden Hour, but it comes in three other shades as well.
SuperGoop’s products have changed my skincare routine, make-up routine, and, most importantly, my mind about sunscreen. I didn’t realize that women should be wearing sunscreen every day to help prevent wrinkles, scarring, and skin cancer. I also didn’t know that sunscreen can protect your face from blue light!! If you sit in front of a computer all day as I do, you NEED to put on sunscreen. Here is a great article that tells you all about the effects of blue light on your skin. I’m excited to keep trying more products from this company. Next, I’m going for the Bright-Eyed mineral cream! Once I buy some, I will report back. ;)
